Sisters of St. Joseph Express Deep Caring for Creation on Earth Day 2022

On Earth Day 2022, one of the ways that the Federation of Sisters of St. Joseph of Canada expressed our deeply-held care for creation was to urge the federal government to strengthen its 2030 Emissions Reduction Plan – Canada’s Next Steps for Clean Air and a Strong Economy (ERP). Understanding Poverty

Some perspectives look at poverty through the lens of income (e.g. If a household has an income less than half of the median income, they are living in poverty). Another perspective focuses on basic necessities (e.g. A family needs sufficient income to be able to afford a market basket of essential goods and services).
